CrafTEA Mom – DIY Book Pedastel

So before I switched over to wordpress, I had another blog called CrafTEA Mom you can click here to check it out. I’m in the process of bringing it over here, but until then I am going to be sharing a page on here dedicated to that. So with that I wanted to share this easy and super cute project I was working on. It’s got to be the best, free, and easy project you can do. Which is perfect for me right now. I love to craft, especially do DIY projects, I also love, love paper crafting. I love scrapbooking you name it anything that has to do with paper and glue I am there. Making something from nothing…I love the challenge. Ok on to the project……these days I have been doing a lot of crafting for a special project.

i made a book pedastel….so cute!! Here is my inspiration for this project I got it from a gal I have been following for awhile now. Do it on a Dime…she is so crafty and organized. I will be using this for a special event and then around my home after my event. Isn’t is so cute???

So here’s what you need…
Paper back book – at least 300/400 pages long.

I found mine for free at a yard sale, I even saw some for 10 cents. So super cheap. I picked up a few free ones from the free pile and was on my happy way.

What you want to do next is take off the covers front and back….

And also the spine too…this is what makes it go in a circle.

Here’s what it should look like.

Then you want to start folding the first page in half inward. As seen above.

This is what it should look like.

Then do the next page but fold it to the left…or opposite of the other one. The next picture will show you what I am talking about.

It should look like this, see above.

Then bring the folds together and start folding the other pages, just like the last one. I held on to the folded pages as I folded the other side.

And here’s what it should look like while folding. This process should take you like 10-15 minutes. I did it while watching youtube, or you can while watching a show, or during a game.

Here’s the finished product!!! Love, love, love it. I’m already do e with my second one and will be doing a few more. You can add candles, pumpkins, Pom Pom flowers to top it will be super cute. You can also tie ribbon around it and switch it up for the different holidays. There’s so many things you can do with it. I love the inspiration pic, will be going on the fireplace mantel or my hutch later.

Thanks for stopping by. If you have any cute, easy, cheap DIY projects. Let me know in the comments below I would love to check them out and try it. Or if there is anything you want a tutorial on let me know too. I would to try it.

Blessings,
Adrienne
