Five Minute Friday

I’ve missed doing this…..so here we go…..
Here’s how we do it:
1. Write for 5 minutes flat on the prompt “After” with no editing, tweaking or self critiquing.
2. Link back here and invite others to join in {you can grab the button code in my blog’s footer}.
3. Go and tell the person who linked up before you what their words meant to you. Every writer longs to feel heard.
OK, are you ready? Give me your best five minutes for the prompt:

Jump…

Jump it’s what I do when I’m scared, excited or awakened. You can jump for joy, jump to get out of the way, jump because someone has scared you.

This is a hard one for me to write about, it’s taking me some time to put words together for this. So bare with me…I know my heart wants to jump when God has asked me to do something. Because my heart longs to serve Him. But sometimes when it’s a difficult task, I tend to not jump but stay. Why is that? Why do we stay instead of jump for Him. Our flesh plays a big role in this it doesn’t like stepping out of it’s comfort zone. It almost does the opposite of jump….. it freezes.

My heart is willing but my flesh is weak. We will to do what our heart doesn’t want us to do but we end up doing what we are not supposed to. This is battle sometimes daily with different things I’ve gone through. But I’ve learned that God will see me through every single time. We just have to trust first then jump, because He will see you through it.

Stop….

Please let me know you are stopping by from Five Minute Friday’s

Thank you for stopping by…..
 Blessings,

  1. "Trust first, then jump". That really resonates with me. I'm not an automatically trusting person, and admittedly I don't trust God right away. I like to be in control and have the facts and know that things will work out, but have learned very recently that beautiful experiences come from relying on God and jumping. It's scary and not always easy but it's also good.

  2. Amen Jess, amen. I can totally relate to those feelings. I like to have control of situations. It's when we let go and let God…something beautiful happens. and yes it is good. Thank you for sharing your heart. I am looking forward to checking out your blog and thank you for stopping by! Blessings,Adrienne

  3. Hi Diana, thank you for stopping by. Yes, our flesh gets in our way more times then not. I believe that's why God commands us to crucify it daily. That is the hard part. I am looking forward to checkin out your blog. Blessings,Adrienne

  4. Amen Adrienne! Beautiful post! I tend to freeze too instead of jump even though deep inside I want to jump lol if that makes sense. I can totally relate to this post. I am gonna share this on my twitter! So others can be encourages too. I am learning to really trust God the last couple months. Hugs! BlessingsRebecca
