Word Filled Wednesday

Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children  and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
Ephesians 5:1-2

We are to model Jesus, and model that we are loved by Him. Show love, live love. We are so blessed to have a loving God who cares for us so much to send His Son to die on the cross for us, for our sins. There is nothing more perfect than that.

I know these days it can seem depressing the way our world is headed. My nephew told me the other day that at his school they do not say the pledge of allegiance. How sad is that, that broke my heart? There are lots of things that can take away our joy, just by turning on the news. It’s depressing. But I choose to not focus on that but to seek first the kingdom of God and all His righteousness.

Friends, we have nothing to worry about God who created this universe loves us. He gave himself up for us as a fragrant oil. Fragrant oils back then were very costly, even today to buy a pure perfume is hundreds of dollars. But no matter the cost He did it for us. If you are struggling today I incourage you to keep your head up, you are loved by the God of the universe. Let the whole world see that. So that they ask you what is it about you that makes you so happy, so joyful. And there’s your oppt’y to share the gospel with them.

We are to be set apart from this world, how do we do that? Well if you look at the world, they are depressed, they are angry, they are sad, they are mad. So what’s the opposite of that happy, joyful, ecstatic!!
