Your presence and sometimes a single touch are worth a thousand words. When it comes to reaching out, remember this principle of ministry: Your presense is a source of comfort, You many not have the exact words to say or the perfect Scripture to share. But in many if not most situations, your touch can bring comfort far greater than words.
Then Jesus told them this parable: “Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Does he not leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.” Luke 15:3-6
I love the tender heart of the shepherd Jesus describes in Luke 15. When one of his 100 sheep was missing, he left the 99 and went looking for the one that was lost. God cares for you and me this way, and He want us to care for others this way.
Our presence in our families lives are so important. We need to intentionally be there with them. I know, from experience, that it can be trying and you may be spent from the day. I work so this makes it a little harder for myself, but no excuses. When we are weak..He is strong, we need to ask God for His strength to get through our days so that we go home at the end of the day we can give our family our best…God’s best!
By His Grace,
